JAS Gripen and SU27 Flanker by bazze JAS Gripen and SU27 Flanker by bazze
2 Swedish JAS 39 Gripen encounter a pair of Russian Flankers.

"Inspired" by recent events (Russian jets practiced attacks on Sweden):

Awesome job. I'd totally love to see Czech Air Force markings on those Gripens, as they were dislocated in Lithuania in 2013 and chased russian planes as well  :-)

Om det är inicident beredskapen borde de inte bära Rb 75 och ska det vara en skarp luftstrid hade piloten dumpat extar bränslet och Rb 75. ;)
Jättesnyggt gjort! :)

This is very cool! The mdoels are awesome. :)

Interesting to know that the Russians are willing to keep their neighbors on the edge. It's also a way for them to justify defense expendings in order to "keep the balance of power", like everyone does.

Actually they didn't practise an attack. They simply were heading to the Baltic Sea for exercises. However to get to the Baltic Sea from Russian airspace without breaking Finnish or Estonian airspace is to head in general direction of Gotska Sandön. Somebody in Sweden press is just paranoid.

Beside that, I really like your Gripens. Didn't know that Gripens use "false cockpit" paint.

It's always a good time when your neighbors practice attacking you......

Nice work!

It's more like aggressive interception than an air fight. Flankers are unarmed.
